In the kink community we pride ourselves on our communication skills, yet often negotiating a scene becomes a cold businesslike transaction. The idea that negotiation is really foreplay can create a much richer experience and move into the realm of seduction. Done well, that negotiation is a dance of give and take and a teasing conversation of what both parties expect and more importantly desire.
